20th August 2008
Windsurfing: The Fludgers-felixstowe
Wind Direction: wsw to sw
Wind Stength: 15
Surf / Sea State: Horrible short chop
Air Temperature: 18
Sea Temperature: 17
Weather: mainly cloudy
Max Speed: 24.6 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 17 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Got down at 5 as maker and mas were rigging,I rigged 7.5 as the forecast was to increase but the others rigged 8.5.I was abit under to start and soon lost downwind,it was ajob to get the board going as you were sailing straight into some steep chop !!! and the tide was with the wind.A quick trip out to the shipping lane and the wind increased making going upwind easier.I made it past the pier and had some fast reaches back, wiping out big style when I hit some weed !!! and the 40 cm fin (I had no choice as I lost my other fin the other night) was just too big making the evening uncomfortable. Not the best night but but there is'nt many weeks of evening sailing left!!! and I was pleased to get back to the beach without breaking anything!!! and landing was a pain as the tide was very low and there was lots of rocks out-The Fludgers is a crap place to launch !!!!
